I work in person at my office, on video using the HIPAA-compliant SimplePractice and Doxy platforms, and over the phone. Initial appointments are in person or via video.
Sessions are approximately 55 minutes, unless otherwise arranged (such as for extended intensive sessions or certain family sessions).
My standard fee is $165 per session, with a sliding scale available based on need.
I am in the Anthem Blue Cross network. I work with all other PPOs; just ask me for a superbill to submit for reimbursement to those. Deductibles, coinsurance, and other copayments are payable at the time of service.
I am a HIPAA-covered provider. My privacy practices are available here and upon request.
Good Faith Estimate*
In keeping with the 2022 No Surprises Act, a federal law that increases transparency in medical billing, I can provide clients with a "good faith estimate" for services that is an estimate of costs for therapy with me over a given period of time.
* You have the right to receive a "good faith estimate" (GFE) explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health-care providers need to give clients who don't have or aren't using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a GFE for the total expected cost of any nonemergency health-care services. You can ask for a GFE before you schedule a service; save a copy or picture of it. If you receive a bill that is more than $400 in excess of your GFE, you can dispute the bill.
